This past weekend was BEAUTIFUL. Everything was perfection. Time with my family, gorgeous weather and the right amount of outings!
After a relaxing day on Ward’s Island (just a ferry’s ride away from downtown Toronto), Shaun and I were heading home when we saw a very familiar figure.
Now, I don’t know how long this ‘Gold Man’ has been doing his shtick, but I think I can safely say that EVERY time I go to the Harbourfront… there he is!
But as we walked past him this time I noticed the locales and tourists stopping and staring. They leaned into one another whispering about the ‘Gold Man’. Some snapped photos and of course some threw money into his collection bin and it occurred to me… HE is ME when I used to go go in West Hollywood.
The similarities don’t end. He’s on a riser. He’s in a costume of sorts. There is a crowd of gawking people. Some keep their distance, some take photos and of course some tip him for his efforts.
Now, if I had only thought to paint my naked body gold when I danced!
